Seventh Star Studios is proud to announce James Tackett as the warrior Eigil in the TV Pilot Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart!
James will portray Eigil, a warrior from the north who finds himself in the company of others from his lands, and many more, when he joins a mercenary company led by the renowned Rayden Valkyrie. The hunt of a group of brigand slavers takes him into an ancient forest; a shadowy realm where he will face dangers far worse than human warriors.
The world Eigil inhabits is featured in Stephen Zimmer’s sword and sorcery novel Heart of a Lion. The story in the TV pilot is not an adaptation of the novel, but rather an original storyline envisioned to be the foundation for a series of episodes filled with the adventures of Rayden’s war band.
“James Tackett is the kind of guy you want to have in a cast,” Director/Screenwriter Stephen Zimmer said. “He is a very gifted actor with the physicality to carry out action sequences and stunts. He also has an infectious, positive energy that is a boost to any production environment. I am so thrilled that James is a member of the wonderful ensemble cast we have for this project!”
Rayden Valkyrie: Saga of a Lionheart is scheduled for production late spring on locations in Kentucky and represents the first visual media project for Seventh Star Studios, a division of Seventh Star Press, a publisher of speculative fiction based out of Lexington, Kentucky.
